General Foreman
We're looking for a General Foreman to join our team based in Brighton or Chatham.
Location: Brighton or Chatham
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As a General Foreman, you'll play a vital role in managing safety on site and ensuring all tasks are carried out with the highest level of expertise and skill. You'll be working closely with our construction teams, coordinating site operations and supporting both Kier and supply chain resources to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
What will you be responsible for?
As a General Foreman, you'll be working within the construction team, supporting them in delivering safe and successful project outcomes. Your day to day will include:
- Managing safety on site including delivering inductions, Toolbox Talks, and Daily Task Briefings to Site Operatives
- Supervising site activities and allocating duties to Site Operatives, ensuring tasks are within their skill levels
- Coordinating site operations for both Kier and supply chain partners to Kier's Health and Safety standards
- Organising and requisitioning site equipment, plant and materials to ensure successful completion of works
- Maintaining daily records of site activities and liaising with Line Managers to produce progress reports
What are we looking for?
This role of General Foreman is great for you if:
- You have demonstrable knowledge and practical application of setting up and running a construction site
- You hold an NVQ Level 1/2 qualification
- You possess a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card – Supervisor - Gold, Experienced Supervisor or Manager
- You have completed SSSTS training
- You hold a Full driving licence
