General Foreman

We're looking for a General Foreman to join our Severn Trent Water team based in Wanlip, Leicestershire.

Location: Wanlip, Leicestershire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a General Foreman, you'll play a vital role in managing safety on site whilst ensuring all tasks are carried out with the highest level of expertise and skill. You'll be working hands-on with the team, coordinating activities, and making sure everyone has what they need to succeed. This is an opportunity to make a real difference, leading by example and supporting your team to deliver excellent results.

What will you be responsible for?

As a General Foreman, you'll be working within the Severn Trent Water team, supporting them in delivering high-quality construction projects safely and efficiently. Your day to day will include:

  • Managing safety on site, delivering inductions, toolbox talks, daily task briefings and point of work assessments
  • Supervising site operatives and coordinating daily activities to ensure work is completed safely and to the highest standard
  • Organising site equipment, plant and materials to keep projects running smoothly
  • Maintaining daily records and liaising with line managers on progress, methods and any programme impacts
  • Implementing work safety plans, method statements and risk assessments whilst ensuring all team members have appropriate training and PPE

What are we looking for?

This role of General Foreman is great for you if:

  • You have practical knowledge and experience in setting up and running a construction site
  • You hold an NVQ Level 3 or 4
  • You have a CSCS card at Supervisor level (Gold, Experienced Supervisor or Manager)
  • You hold SSSTS certification
  • You're passionate about safety, teamwork and supporting others to do their best work
