We're looking for a General Foreman to join our Wisley Wastewater Treatment Works team based in Woking.

Location: Wisley, Woking
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

The Wisley Wastewater Treatment Works project is a major upgrade aimed at improving the resilience and capacity of the existing treatment works. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. You'll be the vital link between the project management team, engineering team, subcontractors and workforce, driving the programme forward and maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental performance.

What will you be responsible for?

As a General Foreman, you'll be working within the Wisley Wastewater Treatment Works team, supporting them in delivering this major upgrade project. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading and coordinating daily site activities, briefing supervisors, operatives and subcontractors on work plans
  • Planning and allocating labour, plant and resources to meet programme requirements while monitoring productivity
  • Promoting a strong health and safety culture, ensuring works comply with approved RAMS, permits and project requirements
  • Coordinating civil, mechanical and electrical activities and their interfaces to prevent clashes and delays
  • Working with engineering and quality teams to ensure inspections are completed and maintaining high standards of site housekeeping

What are we looking for?

This role of General Foreman is ideal if you:

  • Bring proven experience in a General Foreman or senior supervisory position within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Have a strong practical understanding of construction methods, work sequencing, and the ability to interpret drawings and technical information.
  • Hold SMSTS, CSCS Gold or Black Card, Temporary Works Supervisor, and First Aid qualifications.
  • Possess experience within the water or wastewater sector, particularly in operational treatment works.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate site teams, manage subcontractors, and oversee site logistics.
