We're looking for a Surveyor to join our New Connections team based in Exeter.

Location: Exeter
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a New Connections Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in planning, completing and providing feedback on accurate surveys while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance. You'll be instrumental in delivering first-class service to our clients and customers, contributing to the contract's performance indicators and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact within a supportive and collaborative team.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Surveyor, you'll be working within the New Connections team, supporting them in delivering exceptional survey and inspection services. Your day to day will include:

  • Planning and completing accurate new connection surveys, ensuring all necessary information is available and maintaining excellent customer contact throughout
  • Conducting full and detailed site surveys in line with safety procedures, completing risk assessments and permits as required
  • Providing timely and comprehensive survey feedback, including detailed records, photographs and identifying any risks or issues
  • Undertaking pre-connection inspections and trench inspections, ensuring compliance with water regulations and standards
  • Supporting and mentoring other surveyors, promoting safe working practices and collaborating with operational teams across the contract

What are we looking for?

This role of Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You're proficient in IT programmes such as Word, Excel and databases, with a good ability using computers and tablets
  • You're proactive and able to work on your own initiative with minimal support
  • You hold a Full driving licence
  • You have NRSWA Operative training with strong knowledge of permits, road classifications and traffic management
  • You have a strong working knowledge of potable water network connections and relevant certifications (EUSR National Water Hygiene, SHEA Water, Safe Control of Mains Connections, Cable Avoidance Training)
