Graduate Civil Engineer

We're looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team based in Salford, Manchester, working on Manchester Airport.

Location: Salford, Manchester

Hours: 40 hours per week 

Starting Salary: £31,000 per annum 

Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k  

Starting date: September 2027

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you'll be an essential part of our engineering team, helping to shape the future of infrastructure across the UK. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in civil engineering.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you'll be working within the engineering team, supporting them in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Supporting project teams in identifying and resolving engineering, surveying and construction challenges, providing technical input where required
  • Assisting with project planning, documentation, work package plans and engineering deliverables
  • Ensuring surveying, setting out, monitoring and utility survey activities are delivered safely and accurately
  • Promoting high standards of health, safety and environmental performance through site inspections, safety tours and active engagement initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with engineering and operational teams to ensure timely delivery of project activities and quality outputs

What are we looking for?

We're looking for people due to graduate in 2027, or have recently graduated within the past three years, with a degree in Civil Engineering. This role of Graduate Civil Engineer is great for you if you:

  • Hold a degree (or are working towards a degree) which is ICE accredited in Civil Engineeringor a closely related discipline
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a career in civil engineering and the construction industry, with clear motivation to learn and develop professionally
  • Have analytical and critical thinking skills to assess situations and problem solve with strong attention to detail
  • Show enthusiasm for learning new skills and the ability to adapt in response to feedback
  • Hold a Full driving licence
