Graduate Estimator

We're looking for a Graduate Estimator to join our Construction team based in Nottingham

We are a leading UK national contractor delivering projects of all sizes and complexities in the public and private sectors, including education, healthcare, defence and justice and borders. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on our structured graduate development programme. These programmes have been designed to provide you with the experiences and tools needed for progression within your chosen career.

 

Location: Nottingham – With flexibility to travel/relocate across the region 

Starting Salary: £30,000 per annum, with potential £4,750 car allowance depending on eligibility

Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k

Starting date: September 2026

What you will be responsible for?

As a Graduate Estimator, you'll be working within the Construction team and will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects including materials, transport, labour, and equipment. This role is designed for a recent graduate eager to launch a career in construction management

 

What will your day-to-day duties include?

  • Assisting in the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Analysing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather essential information for estimates.
  • Supporting the development of project budgets and cost control measures.
  • Assisting in preparing bid proposals and tender documents.
  • Conducting site visits to understand project scope and gather relevant data.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for people due to graduate in 2026, or have recently graduated within the past three years, with a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.

 

The role of Graduate Estimator is great for you if: 

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
