We're looking for a Programme Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our East West Rail team based in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. You'll be joining our team supporting the East West Rail route from Oxford through Milton Keynes and Bedford to Cambridge.

Location: St. Neots, Cambridgeshire with regular travel to operational sites throughout the route and some remote working
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: £40,000 - £54,000 per year + £5k annual car allowance + excellent benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Programme Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, you'll be play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across a significant infrastructure programme.

 Your day to day will include:

  • Conducting regular site and office inspections and audits to verify compliance and promote continuous learning
  • Coaching and mentoring operational teams and supply chain partners to embed best practice and strengthen safety culture
  • Supporting incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively
  • Reviewing and approving Construction Phase Plans, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Analysing safety performance data and contributing to monthly reports that drive improvements

What are we looking for?

This Programme Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor role could be a great fit if:

  • Progress is being made towards, or a Diploma in Health & Safety is already held, alongside IOSH membership
  • A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and ISO standards is in place
  • Experience has been gained in a similar role, ideally within infrastructure or construction environments
  • Confidence in working independently to deliver key objectives, while building strong, collaborative relationships, is demonstrated
  • A full driving licence is held, with flexibility to travel regularly across the route
