Health, Safety & Wellbeing Director

We're looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Director to join our Kier Group – Business Division Leadership team based Nationwide.

 

Location: Nationwide – remote working available, with occasional travel to offices required

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

As a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Director, you'll be working within the Business Division Leadership Team, supporting them in developing and delivering a positive, high‑performing safety, health and wellbeing culture across the organisation.

Your day to day will include:

  • Developing and implementing the divisional Health, Safety & Wellbeing strategy aligned to the Group's approach
  • Leading and developing a high‑performing HSW function
  • Ensuring compliance with all HSW contractual, legislative and tender requirements
  • Managing reporting, review and continuous improvement of incidents, performance and processes
  • Leading wellbeing strategy and championing a positive culture of physical and mental health

 

What are we looking for?

This role of HSW Director is great for you if:

  • A strong, demonstrable track record in driving improvement in safety, health and wellbeing
  • Experience influencing and engaging senior leaders to drive strategy and cultural change
  • Emotionally intelligent, people‑centred leadership skills with the ability to inspire high performance
  • Proven experience in leading culture and behaviour‑change programmes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including representing the business externally 
  • Full UK Driving Licence
