Highways Maintenance Operative

We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Transportation Team based in Birmingham.

Location: Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham, B7 5HR

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (07:00 - 15:30) 

Salary: £27,976 to £28,500 depending on qualifications and experience + overtime +call out +standby

What will you be responsible for?
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you'll be working within the TML team, supporting them in maintaining environmental standards across the Network. Your day to day will include:

• Carrying out seasonal work including tree planting in winter and targeted weed spraying in summer
• Engaging professionally with members of the public when needed
• Following safety protocols and completing required documentation
• Assisting with risk assessments and responding to emergency works when required
• Contributing to an inclusive workplace that values wellbeing and diversity
