Learning and Development Coordinator

We're looking for Learning and Development Coordinator to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team based Plymouth.

KierBAM is a Joint Venture (JV) between Kier and BAM Nuttall, currently delivering a major redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Learning & Development Coordinator to support this high-profile initiative.

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required. Please note that this process may take up to 8 weeks.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from an EU, NATO, Five Eyes, or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years

 

Location: Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth 

Hours: 42.5 hours per week 

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

Responsibilities

As a Learning and Development Coordinator , you'll be working within the KierBAM JV Nuclear team, supporting them in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. In this role, you will be instrumental in empowering our workforce and driving strategic development across the JV.

Your day to day will include:

  • Planning and Coordination: Organise and schedule a variety of training events, including workshops and seminars, ensuring smooth delivery and attendance.
  • Content Development: Collaborate on the design and creation of engaging training materials and programs tailored to employee needs.
  • Record Management: Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and performance metrics.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise effectively with trainers, employees, and management to identify and meet training requirements.
  • Technology Enablement: Support the implementation and maintenance of e-learning platforms and other digital learning tools.
  • Program Evaluation: Gather feedback and conduct assessments to measure the effectiveness and impact of training initiatives.
  • Budget Oversight: Assist in managing training budgets and maintaining productive relationships with external training providers.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all learning activities align with company policies and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Administrative Support: Provide logistical and administrative assistance for Learning and Development projects and initiatives.

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Learning and Development Coordinator is great for you if:

  • A qualification in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in training coordination, HR, or learning and development.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and the Microsoft Office suite.
