Mechanical Engineer

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our  team based in Liverpool or London.

Location: Liverpool or London
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to undertake mechanical designs for large, complex construction projects. You'll be responsible for ensuring sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective design delivery from concept through to construction, bridging client needs with engineering reality. Working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders, you'll help deliver innovative solutions whilst leading the mechanical design team and integrating different disciplines.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working within the Major Projects team, supporting them in delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions for large, complex construction projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Providing high quality mechanical designs and specifications that meet client requirements
  • Offering high level technical advice in mechanical building services engineering
  • Supporting project design meetings, establishing solutions and working closely with colleagues and design team members
  • Ensuring all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Promoting and implementing sustainable design solutions whilst resolving technical challenges

What are we looking for?

This role of Mechanical Engineer is great for you if:

  • You hold a Degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and membership of CIBSE or IET
  • You're a Chartered Engineer or working towards becoming chartered
  • You have experience demonstrating the capability to fulfil complex mechanical design accountabilities
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • You have experience in applying quality procedures and document control in engineering design
