We're looking for an MEP Project Director to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical team in the south.

Location: London/Basingstoke.
Hours: Full-time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) is the in-house MEP delivery business within the Kier Group, providing integrated mechanical, electrical and public health services across major construction and strategic projects nationally. As MEP Project Director, you'll take overall responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of major, technically complex MEP packages on a large construction project, from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. This role operates at a senior level, providing leadership across safety, programme, quality and commercial performance, while ensuring seamless integration with the wider construction team and Kier "One Team" delivery model.

What will you be responsible for?

As an MEP Project Director, you'll be working within the Kier Mechanical & Electrical team, supporting them in delivering major MEP packages across large construction projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading the pre-construction and delivery of large MEP work packages on complex construction projects (often £50m–£200m+ MEP value)
  • Providing strategic leadership across design, commercial, planning, procurement, delivery and commissioning functions
  • Ensuring MEP strategy, sequencing and programme align with the overall construction delivery plan
  • Taking full accountability for safety, health and environment, quality, cost, programme and risk associated with MEP delivery
  • Acting as the senior MEP interface with clients, consultants, supply chain partners and Kier construction leadership

What are we looking for?

This role of MEP Project Director is great for you if:

  • You have proven experience leading major MEP packages within large construction projects at Project Director or equivalent level
  • You have experience delivering projects with MEP values of £50m+ (or total project values £100m+)
  • You have a strong understanding of MEP design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover
  • You can demonstrate leadership of large, multi-disciplinary MEP and project teams
  • You hold a degree or equivalent in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, plus professional membership (e.g. CIBSE, IET, MCIOB, MRICS) and Full driving licence

Due to the nature of this role, you will also be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (applicants with convictions will be treated on a case-by-case basis. We do not discriminate based on an applicant's conviction history or the details of any convictions disclosed to us). Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks.
