MEP Senior Planner
We're looking for an MEP Senior Planner to join our Mechanical and Electrical team based in Leeds/Northern Region.
Location: Leeds/Northern Region
Hours: Full Time, Permanent - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the planning function of Kier Mechanical and Electrical in the Northern region. You'll be leading MEP planning on major and regional projects, mentoring team members, and working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes. This role offers the chance to make a real impact, develop your expertise, and shape planning practices across a range of challenging and rewarding projects.
What will you be responsible for?
As a MEP Senior Planner, you'll be working within the Mechanical and Electrical team, supporting them in delivering excellence across planning and programme management. Your day to day will include:
- Leading MEP planning on major projects and mentoring assistant and intermediate planners to develop their skills
- Developing and managing detailed MEP programmes using Asta PowerProject across all project stages
- Managing programme updates, conducting forensic analysis, and leading EOT evaluations and delay assessments
- Collaborating with commercial teams to align planning outputs with contractual obligations under NEC and JCT contracts
- Presenting programme strategies to leadership, project teams, and clients while resolving planning issues collaboratively
What are we looking for?
This role of MEP Senior Planner is great for you if:
- You're an advanced user of Elecosoft Asta PowerProject and can create fully logic-linked MEP programmes from design through to handover
- You have on-site experience as an MEP planner across a range of projects, with prior experience in tender and preconstruction planning
- You have experience administering programme requirements for NEC contracts and understand how contract forms impact planning
- You have strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
- You're proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and have experience using Bluebeam Revu
