We're looking for a Planner to join our KierBam HPC team based in Hinkley Point, Somerset.

Location: Hinkley Point, Somerset - agile working available with 3 days on site at a minimum
Hours: 45 hrs per week - some flexibility on start and end times available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our planning team, working on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. You'll be developing and updating programmes, working collaboratively with the project management team to ensure efficient project delivery. Hybrid working is available, with at least 3 days per week on site.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Planner, you'll be working within the KierBam HPC planning team, supporting them in updating and developing the existing programme in line with the planning manager and project requirements. Your day to day will include:

  • Developing detail within existing programmes and monitoring progress
  • Introducing and analysing change in programmes, producing information in various formats
  • Providing advice and support to construction teams on short-term programmes
  • Evaluating supply chain programmes and developing 4D programmes
  • Establishing and maintaining internal and external project controls reporting

What are we looking for?

This role of Planner is great for you if:

  • You have a qualification in civil engineering to HND or degree level, or relevant demonstrable experience
  • You have experience across civil engineering projects with a good understanding of commercial and contractual matters
  • You have a clear ability for logical thinking and thorough understanding of programming techniques
  • You can produce short and medium-term programmes with a sound knowledge of typical production rates
  • You're competent in using P6, Microsoft Office, and 4D software, and can communicate effectively
