We're looking for an MEP Planner to join our Mechanical and Electrical team based in Northern England.

Location: Leeds, covering Northern England and Scotland.
Hours: Full-time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're seeking a dedicated MEP Planner to join our collaborative team, supporting the delivery of mechanical and electrical projects across the Northern and Scotland region. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact, working on diverse projects whilst developing your career in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What will you be responsible for?

As an MEP Planner, you'll be working within the Planning team, supporting them in delivering successful mechanical and electrical project outcomes. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Developing and maintaining project programmes using Elecosoft PowerProject and/or Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with Kier's planning standards and contract requirements
  • Monitoring progress through site visits and maintaining accurate records using Bluebeam and Elecosoft Site Progress apps
  • Identifying potential risks and delays, working collaboratively with project teams to develop effective mitigation strategies
  • Preparing clear and concise progress reports and updates for stakeholders, keeping everyone informed of project status
  • Reviewing supply chain programmes and facilitating coordination meetings to ensure seamless project delivery

What are we looking for?

This role of MEP Planner is great for you if:

  • You have intermediate or advanced proficiency in Elecosoft PowerProject, with the ability to create fully logic-linked programmes and produce accurate take-offs
  • You bring 4-6 years' hands-on experience as an MEP planner, ideally working on office, custodial, or pharmaceutical laboratory projects
  • You're confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience in Bluebeam Revu
  • You have 3-5 years' experience in tender and preconstruction planning
  • You're a positive, open-minded team player with the ability to work independently and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and development

Rewards and benefits

We're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs. You can see more information of benefits here.

Diversity and inclusion

Making Kier a diverse and inclusive place to work is a huge priority for us. We're proud of the steps we've taken so far, but we know we must always do more. Our employees are key in shaping Kier's diversity and inclusion initiatives and our people have made a huge impact on how we work, by using their experiences to shape our policies. You can see our D&I action plan here.

As a Disability Confident employer, we will ensure that a fair and proportionate number of disabled applicants that meet the minimum criteria for this role will be offered an interview.

Due to the nature of this role, you will also be required to complete a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (applicants with convictions will be treated on a case-by-case basis. We do not discriminate based on an applicant's conviction history or the details of any convictions disclosed to us). Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks.
