This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical part in supporting the successful delivery of Kier Construction's Major Projects. As Planning Manager, you'll be driving planning consistency, governance, leadership and best practice across major projects valued in excess of £200m. You'll provide expert leadership on programme development and assurance throughout the full project lifecycle, from early development and tender through to construction and completion.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Planning Manager, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering high-value, complex construction projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Creating and maintaining fully integrated project programmes in line with Kier National Planning Standards
  • Providing expert tactical and strategic programme advice to support bids, PCSA and project development
  • Conducting independent programme reviews and health checks to ensure compliance
  • Line managing members of the planning team, developing capability and embedding high standards
  • Leading planning on high-value tenders and projects, reviewing progress and identifying improvement opportunities

What are we looking for?

This role of Planning Manager is great for you if:

  • You have advanced experience with P6 software and Asta Powerproject
  • You bring strong planning governance and leadership capabilities
  • You have proven staff management experience and enjoy developing others
  • You possess extensive knowledge of construction methodologies
  • You have exposure to large scale construction or infrastructure projects.

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
