Project Manager
We're looking for a Project Manager to join our Scotland team based in Livingston / Stepps.
Location: Livingston / Stepps, Scotland
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As a Project Manager, you'll provide project leadership for construction projects, ensuring safe and timely delivery through effective management of people, resources and relationships. You'll be the driving force behind successful project completion, working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve operational and commercial goals whilst maintaining Kier's high standards of quality and safety.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Manager, you'll be working within the Scotland team, supporting them in delivering construction projects on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards. Your day to day will include:
- Leading and overseeing project teams, managing performance of site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme requirements
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and external bodies, developing excellent working relationships and promoting ongoing opportunities
- Managing project budgets and programmes, working closely with commercial teams to monitor financial status and track adherence to targets
- Ensuring full compliance with health and safety policies, environmental standards and quality requirements across all project activities
- Coordinating with design, commercial, planning and support teams to ensure timely information flow and successful project delivery
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Manager is great for you if:
- You have demonstrable experience in leading delivery on construction projects within the main contracting environment
- You can manage projects throughout all phases from pre-construction to practical completion
- You have strong communication skills with the ability to chair meetings, produce reports and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- You possess a relevant construction qualification at HND/Degree level or equivalent, along with SMSTS, CSCS Card and a Full driving licence
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and quality
