Quality Assurance Manager
We're looking for a Quality & Assurance Manager (Rail & Aviation) to join our Rail & Aviation team based Nationwide. With the continued growth of our Rail & Aviation portfolio, maintaining strong quality governance and assurance remains critical to meeting both Kier and client requirements.
Location: Nationwide
Hours: 37.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Quality & Assurance Manager (Rail & Aviation), you'll be working within the Rail & Aviation team, supporting them in strengthening and embedding a positive quality culture across our projects. Working closely with project teams, identifying and promoting best practice, assessing quality performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Your day to day will include:
- Supporting project teams in implementing quality controls including Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and document control processes
- Identifying trends from lessons learned and client feedback to drive continuous improvement and share insights across the business
- Promoting compliance with Kier's Integrated Management System requirements across projects and operational teams
- Delivering the internal surveillance and audit programme using a risk-based approach and developing effective improvement plans
- Monitoring the effectiveness of quality activities, providing guidance to project teams, and driving improvements in performance outcomes
What are we looking for?
This role of Quality & Assurance Manager (Rail & Aviation) is great for you if:
- You have extensive knowledge of Network Rail standards and experience applying them within a rail environment
- You have a background in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, or Engineering within rail construction, infrastructure, or aviation projects
- You're a Qualified Lead Auditor with experience auditing against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems
- You have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams
- You have a collaborative approach with proven ability to support, influence and mentor others to drive continuous improvement
