Quality Engineer
We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team based in Bridgwater.
Location: Bridgwater
Hours: 42.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team working on a complex major project. As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring onsite quality control and monitoring across diverse packages of works, including civils, earthworks, piling, reinforced concrete, cladding, MEICA, and internal fit-out. You'll be working closely with delivery team engineers and Client quality representatives to maintain the highest standards throughout the project lifecycle.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Quality Engineer, you'll be working within the quality team, supporting them in delivering excellence across all project activities. Your day to day will include:
- Implementing and ensuring adherence to project procedures, specifications, and Quality Plans in line with British/International Standards
- Reviewing quality documentation including Inspection Test Plans, work inspection records, and Product Approval Records
- Carrying out quality site inspections to ensure compliance with standards, drawings, and specifications
- Managing Non-Conformance Reports through to conclusion and monitoring testing frequencies and results
- Conducting surveillance audits for site activities and supporting the Quality Manager with reporting and implementation of QA processes
What are we looking for?
This role of Quality Engineer is great for you if:
- You have demonstrable knowledge and practical application of quality control activities in construction
- You can interpret engineering drawings and specifications with confidence
- You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to keep clear and accurate records
- You're comfortable using technology and digital tools for quality records management
- You hold a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card
