At Kier Design, we're growing our Civils capability and are keen to hear from talented drainage and water professionals with experience across highways drainage, development infrastructure, regulated water, flood risk and sustainable infrastructure design. What Qualifications and Experience Are We Looking For?
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in:
- Civil Engineering
- Highway Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Water Engineering
- A related discipline
- Chartered status (CEng, IEng or equivalent), or working towards professional accreditation, would be advantageous for more senior roles.
- Experience delivering drainage and water projects within highways, development infrastructure, flood risk or regulated water environments.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, guidance and approval processes, including National Highways, Lead Local Flood Authorities, Environment Agency and UK water company requirements. Experience in drainage design software such as InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow.
- Experience in hydraulic, river and water network modelling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS Pro or similar.
- Understanding of SuDS principles, flood risk management and environmental considerations.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Ability to deliver projects through feasibility, optioneering, detailed design and construction support stages.
