ILIOS is the Construction Partner for the UK's STEP fusion programme, working to design and build a prototype fusion energy power plant. As Programme Quality Manager, you'll play a key role in establishing and managing the quality management system for this groundbreaking clean energy programme. This is an opportunity to contribute to world-leading infrastructure at the forefront of engineering innovation, working collaboratively with scientists, engineers and delivery partners to shape the UK's fusion industry.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Programme Quality Manager, you'll be working within the Delivery / Quality & Assurance team, supporting them in establishing robust quality management and assurance frameworks across the programme. Your day to day will include:

  • Establishing and managing the ILIOS Quality Management System, developing practical quality processes, policies and guidance for programme delivery
  • Planning and coordinating quality assurance activities, internal audits and compliance monitoring across the programme and supply chain
  • Monitoring quality performance, preparing clear reports for leadership teams and managing non-conformance, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Acting as the primary quality interface with stakeholders, supporting delivery teams and promoting a collaborative "Get It Right" culture
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring quality requirements are integrated into programme governance and delivery arrangements

What are we looking for?

This role of Programme Quality Manager is great for you if:

  • You have a degree or equivalent experience in Quality Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • You have significant experience establishing or managing quality management systems in major infrastructure, construction, nuclear, energy or highly regulated environments
  • You have practical experience applying ISO 9001 requirements and integrated management system principles
  • You possess strong audit, investigation, root cause analysis and performance management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • You're a collaborative leader who can work effectively across multiple organisations, build trusted relationships and influence positive quality culture in complex programme environments
