Quantity Surveyor
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Tarmac Kier Joint Venture team based in Picketts Lock, London.
Location: Picketts Lock, London - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Join our vibrant highways maintenance contract covering North London, where you'll play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of diverse projects. From highway surfacing and drainage to road marking and asset maintenance, you'll be at the heart of delivering essential infrastructure services. What will you be responsible for?
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in cost control and financial management across various work orders. Your day to day will include:
- Pricing works and agreeing costs with clients prior to project commencement
- Managing subcontractors including raising orders and assessing payment applications
- Negotiating and agreeing variations with clients
- Contributing to monthly forecasting and reporting
- Mentoring junior team members and sharing your expertise
What are we looking for?
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You're proficient in Highways Schedule of Rates and understand the method of measurement
- You have experience in highways maintenance projects
- You're confident with Microsoft Office applications
- You enjoy collaborating with others and thrive in team environments
- You're proactive and able to use your initiative to solve challenges
