Safety Inspector
We're looking for a Safety Inspector to join our HMPF North contract team based in Wraysbury.
Location: Wraysbury onsite 5 days per week
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per year + company van + excellent benefits

As a Safety Inspector, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our bus stations and highway infrastructure. Working within our Operations team, you'll be conducting inspections across the network, identifying defects, and supporting our operational teams. This is a field-based role where you'll be out and about, making a real difference to the communities we serve.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Safety Inspector, you'll be working within the Operations team, supporting them in carrying out bus station and highway safety inspections along with monthly sign inspections across the HMPF North contract. Your day to day will include:
- Conducting bus station inspections, highway safety inspections and monthly sign inspections in accordance with Series 3350 of the HMPF contract
- Raising defects remotely using TKJV handheld tablets
- Escalating any emergencies found on the network to the London Control Centre
- Monitoring and providing information on standards of works completed by operational teams
- Completing inspections within agreed contractual timescales to achieve contract compliance
What are we looking for?
This Safety Inspector role could be a great fit if you:
- Hold the City & Guilds Highway Inspection 6033 – Unit 311 Highway Safety Inspection qualification and are registered on the National Register of Highway Inspectors
- Have a strong understanding of highway inspection processes, design standards and maintenance requirements
- Bring practical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations within a highways or construction environment
- Hold a full driving licence and are comfortable travelling to sites as required
- Enjoy working collaboratively and building positive relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
