Senior Quantity Surveyor

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames Water Framework team based in Mogden STW.

Location: Mogden STW, Twickenham
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take a leading role in the commercial management of a major Water Treatment Works upgrade project. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop leadership skills, maximise commercial performance, and progress your career within a supportive, high-performing commercial team.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in achieving project commercial objectives and financial performance. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading commercial management of project sections, subcontract packages and supplier accounts from procurement to final account settlement
  • Preparing and managing valuations, applications for payment, monthly cost forecasts and cashflow reports
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring mitigation strategies are implemented
  • Managing change control processes and ensuring variations and contractual entitlements are agreed in a timely manner
  • Mentoring and developing junior team members, promoting high standards of commercial management and professional development

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

  • You have a degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Commercial Management or a related discipline
  • You have commercial experience within the construction or infrastructure sector, ideally with MEICA exposure
  • You're self-motivated and ambitious, with a genuine desire to learn, develop and progress your career
  • You have strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • You hold a Full driving licence
