Senior Design Manager

We're looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our team based in Warrington.

Location: Warrington - some remote working available.
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Design Manager who will lead and oversee the design process within our construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage risks, and ensure seamless integration between design and construction activities. You'll play a key part in delivering projects that meet client requirements, specifications, and regulatory standards.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Design Manager, you'll be working within the design team, supporting them in delivering high-quality design solutions.

Your day to day will include:

  • Overseeing the entire design process to ensure timely delivery of design information
  • Coordinating between consultants, architects, engineers, and project teams to align design with construction methodologies
  • Reviewing and approving design documentation for compliance with planning, building regulations, and industry standards
  • Identifying and managing design risks, implementing solutions to mitigate project delays or cost overruns
  • Leading design review meetings and liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Design Manager is great for you if:

  • You have experience in design management within construction or utilities.
  • You possess excellent leadership and team management skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
  • You have strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills
  • You're experienced with BIM, digital design tools, and coordination software
