We're looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our Thames Water Major Projects team based working on our Maple Lodge site, Rickmansworth.

Location: Maple Lodge site, Rickmansworth
Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to work within our Thames Water Major Projects team. As a Kier Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide LV and HV electrical engineering expertise for industrial projects with particular emphasis on the water industry. The ideal candidate will be someone who is quality-focused with a demonstrable history of managing Low and High Voltage Electrical works, HV switchgear and LV Motor Control Centre delivery within major projects. Kier is a strategic partner to Thames Water on Major Projects and Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be working within the Thames Water Major Projects team, supporting them in delivering design and build services for new and existing infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets. Your day to day will include:

  • Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on electrical documentation including block cable diagrams, load schedules, cable schedules, and MCC/RTU electrical schematics
  • Representing Kier at electrical installation and MCC progress meetings, and coordinating with Thames Water Operations team on live process plants
  • Reviewing electrical installation and commissioning works on site, ensuring compliance with quality and asset standards
  • Conducting factory acceptance tests for MCC/RTU builds, ensuring the final product meets all design criteria and process requirements
  • Engaging with the supply chain to provide accurate proposals and ensuring health & safety, environmental and quality standards are met

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Electrical Project Engineer is great for you if:

  • You hold an HNC qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation engineering or similar discipline
  • You have experience in low voltage electrical installations on large-scale water treatment works
  • You have a working knowledge of large motor control centres and associated ICA sections
  • You demonstrate a good understanding of various communications protocols including Profibus, DeviceNet and Ethernet IP
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively as part of a multi-discipline team
