Senior Electrical Engineer
We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Major Projects team based in Liverpool or London.
Location: Liverpool or London
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to take full responsibility for electrical designs on large, complex construction projects. You'll ensure sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective design delivery from concept through to construction, bridging client needs with engineering reality whilst leading and integrating teams across different disciplines.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be working within the Major Projects team, supporting them in delivering high-quality electrical designs for large-scale construction projects. Your day to day will include:
- Leading the preparation of electrical designs and specifications that meet client requirements and brief
- Representing electrical engineering in project design meetings, establishing solutions and working collaboratively with colleagues and design team members
- Ensuring delivery of coordinated design solutions and compliance with building codes, regulations and industry standards
- Providing technical advice and developing innovative solutions to enhance the electrical engineering service
- Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Electrical Engineer is great for you if:
- You hold a degree in Electrical Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering and are a member of CIBSE or IET
- You're a Chartered Engineer or working towards achieving chartered status
- You have significant experience demonstrating high-level knowledge in your discipline and the capability to fulfil the role's responsibilities
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- You have experience in quality procedures and document control in engineering design and can pass BPSS requirements
