Senior Internal Auditor

We're looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Group Risk and Internal Audit team

 

Location: Nationwide – hybrid working available, with occasional travel to the office required
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you'll be working within the Group Risk and Internal Audit team, supporting them in delivering independent, objective assurance and consulting services that add value and improve operations across Kier.

Your day to day will include:

  • Conducting operational and financial audits across Kier's businesses, including scoping, planning, fieldwork and reporting
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure audit actions are progressed and risks are remediated
  • Supporting risk management activities including workshops and competitor risk analysis
  • Collaborating with our co-source audit partner and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Providing insights to inform the annual audit plan and principal risk framework

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Internal Auditor is great for you if:

  • You hold a relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA)
  • You have extensive experience in internal or external audit
  • You possess strong knowledge of audit standards, governance, risk and control frameworks
  • You're a confident communicator with excellent analytical and report writing skills
  • You're a self-starter and team player, able to build effective relationships across the business
