Location: Mogden Sewage Treatment Works, Isleworth - some remote working may be available.
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Join us on a major project for Thames Water at Mogden, where you'll play a key role in delivering mechanical engineering solutions across the process. You'll be working in partnership with our supply chain to achieve outstanding results for our client. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on a significant water infrastructure project. Our team has an excellent culture, and training, development and mentorship are important to us. You will be a stronger professional for working here, and have fun along the way too.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Mechanical Package Engineer, you'll be working within the Mogden team, supporting them in delivering mechanical aspects of projects within budget and timescales whilst ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading mechanical engineering from inception to completion, liaising with Tier 2 Supply Chain design teams to ensure fully integrated, clash-free designs
  • Collaborating with design partners to ensure CDM compliance and constructability, including check, review and approval of outputs
  • Managing procurement of plant, materials and specialist subcontractors in cooperation with the commercial team
  • Chairing and attending HAZOP events, maintaining design risk registers and compiling final contract documentation
  • Mentoring and supporting graduate mechanical engineers, helping them develop their skills and careers

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Mechanical Package Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have a strong working knowledge of Waste Water Engineering, including key suppliers, capabilities and process equipment designs
  • You're familiar with access metalwork standards, safe operating principles including EN1090, and can check and review working calculations
  • You have demonstrable experience of delivering large Waste Water Schemes
  • You can effectively lead and manage teams on site, building collaborative relationships across teams, clients and stakeholders
  • You hold a Full driving licence

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
