  • Leading and coordinating daily mechanical installation activities to achieve safe, efficient and programme-compliant delivery
  • Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications and documentation, escalating design or constructability issues promptly
  • Ensuring works comply with approved safety systems, permit requirements, CDM Regulations and relevant standards
  • Coordinating mechanical isolations, confined-space activities, pressure testing and other controlled work
  • Mentoring mechanical supervisors and team members, setting clear expectations and reinforcing consistent standards

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Mechanical Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have demonstrable experience leading mechanical installations on industrial, water, wastewater or process-sector projects
  • You possess strong practical knowledge of pumping systems, pipework, valves, treatment equipment and mechanical completion activities
  • You hold a recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND BTEC, ONC or equivalent qualification
  • You have CSCS Gold Card Supervisor or appropriate competence card, SSSTS or SMSTS, and a Full driving licence
  • You demonstrate strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills with good computer literacy
