We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team based in Stansted.

Location: Stansted
Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee the successful delivery of high value, technically complex construction projects. You'll be responsible for achieving operational and commercial goals through effective management of project teams and stakeholders, driving projects to completion on time, on budget, and with a focus on safety and quality. You'll also act as a mentor and client point of contact, helping to develop excellent working relationships and promote ongoing opportunities for Kier.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be working within the project team, supporting them in delivering exceptional results. Your day to day will include:

  • Providing leadership on assigned projects from tender through to delivery, overseeing site teams to manage performance against programme and budget
  • Understanding client goals and translating them to site, agreeing timescales, costs and resources needed
  • Selecting and leading project teams, negotiating with contractors and suppliers to deliver works
  • Managing multi-discipline project teams and communicating effectively with staff at every level
  • Identifying solutions to technical and logistical challenges, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to clients and stakeholders

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Project Manager is great for you if:

  • You have significant experience in leading on projects of substantial value from pre-construction to delivery
  • You have demonstrable experience of managing project budgets and programmes, and leading project teams effectively
  • You possess strong communication skills with the ability to collate and produce reports for leadership
  • You have expert knowledge of delivery under NEC and JCT contract conditions
  • You hold a relevant Construction Qualification at Degree level or equivalent, Health and Safety 5-day SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and Full driving licence
