Senior Quantity Surveyor

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Stepps/ Hybrid.

Location: Stepps/ Hybrid
Hours: 40 hrs per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in managing and mitigating cost and risk across high-value projects. You'll have responsibility for commercial oversight from tender through to final account, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on budget and to the highest standards. You'll also play a key role in mentoring junior team members and sharing your expertise across the business.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes. Your day to day will include:

• Leading commercial input into bid submissions and managing cost planning throughout project lifecycle
• Preparing and managing subcontractor contracts, tender packages, and ensuring best value procurement
• Managing valuations, applications, and payments while monitoring costs against budget
• Identifying and managing commercial risks, variations, and compensation events
• Mentoring junior commercial staff and collaborating with project teams and clients

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

• You have demonstrable experience managing high-value projects within Tier 1 contractors
• You have strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 and JCT/SBCC suite of contracts
• You possess excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• You hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
• You hold a Full driving licence
