SHE Manager
We're looking for a SHE Manager to join our Yorkshire Water Framework
Location: Leeds
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As the SHE Manager, you'll be working within the Water business unit of Kier Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks. You'll oversee health, safety, and environmental performance across several projects within the Yorkshire Water framework, managing a small team of SHE Advisors as works progress through the AMP8 programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to maintain and enhance the high standards we're known for with a long-standing client, whilst working collaboratively with project directors, managers, and client teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
What will you be responsible for?
As a SHE Manager, you'll be working within the Water team, supporting them in delivering excellent health, safety, and environmental management across multiple projects.
Your day to day will include:
- Guiding the team by setting and maintaining the highest health, safety, and environmental standards across all projects
- Conducting regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with both Kier and client requirements
- Leading accident and incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and meaningful trend analysis
- Collaborating closely with project teams, clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers to implement effective safety strategies
- Managing and mentoring a team of SHE Advisors, ensuring they're well-resourced and supported to deliver excellence
What are we looking for?
This role of SHE Manager is great for you if:
- You hold a NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent qualification in health, safety, and environmental management
- You have professional membership of a relevant institution (such as IOSH, IIRSM, or IEMA)
- You bring experience managing health and safety in construction or another high-risk industry
- You have experience leading and developing a team of health and safety professionals
- You hold a Full driving licence
