Site Engineer
We're looking for a Site Engineer to join our East West Rail (EWR) team based in Twyford, Buckinghamshire.
Location: Twyford, Buckinghamshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Site Engineer, you'll be working within the East West Rail (EWR) team, supporting them in delivering technical compliance and engineering excellence across trial trenching and geotechnical investigations.
Your day to day will include:
- Supporting the Section Engineer in managing engineering resources to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to specification
- Setting out all aspects of the works and maintaining accurate as-built records and photographic documentation
- Overseeing in-situ soil and rock testing, including SPT, Hand Shear Vane, CBR, and BRE 365 soakaway tests
- Undertaking utilities clearance and ensuring safe identification and exposure of underground utilities through trial trenching
- Managing quality assurance records, inspection requests, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
What are we looking for?
This role of Site Engineer is great for you if:
- You hold or are working towards a relevant Construction Degree/HNC and have a valid CSCS card
- You have a Full driving licence and are competent in setting out using a range of equipment
- You have experience with CAD software and Ground Investigation Works
- You're committed to maintaining safe working practices and implementing quality management systems
- You enjoy collaborative working and building effective relationships across teams, clients and stakeholders
