We're looking for a Social Value Coordinator to join our Construction team based in Cardiff, South Wales

Location: Cardiff
Hours: 37.5 per week

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This exciting role offers the opportunity to make a real difference across our construction projects. Working across pre-construction and construction phases, you'll plan, deliver and report on social value activities that create positive impacts in our communities. From skills and employment initiatives to community engagement, education partnerships and volunteering programmes, you'll be at the heart of delivering meaningful change.

The Social Value Coordinator will play a lead role in developing, coordinating, and delivering community and volunteering initiatives that create meaningful and lasting impact within local communities. This includes working closely with project teams, supply chain partners, local organisations and education providers to identify opportunities that respond to community needs, encourage workforce participation, and align with wider Social Value objectives.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Social Value Coordinator, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering impactful social value initiatives across multiple projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Collecting and reporting on social value data, creating insightful reports that showcase our achievements and impact
  • Building meaningful relationships with site teams, supply chains, clients and local community stakeholders
  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of social value initiatives, from volunteering events to promotional ceremonies
  • Creating compelling case studies that highlight best practice and share our success stories
  • Contributing to our Building for a Sustainable World strategy and promoting wellbeing across the business

What are we looking for?

This role of Social Value Coordinator is great for you if:

  • You have strong data analysis and reporting skills, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel
  • You're an excellent communicator who can build relationships with people at all levels and explain complex ideas clearly
  • You have administrative experience and can manage your own workload effectively to meet tight deadlines
  • You're able to travel to sites and external events, and you're genuinely passionate about making a positive social impact
  • You have a desire to learn and continuously develop, with the confidence to challenge processes and identify better solutions

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
