We're looking for a Social Value Coordinator to join our Construction team based across the South West on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Location: South West, with offices in both Plymouth and Exeter
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by planning, delivering and reporting on social value activities across our construction projects. You'll work collaboratively across pre-construction and construction phases, supporting initiatives including skills and employment, community engagement, education outreach, volunteering, and inclusive recruitment. This role offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders whilst championing sustainability and social value across the business.

The Social Value Coordinator will play a lead role in developing, coordinating, and delivering community and volunteering initiatives that create meaningful and lasting impact within local communities. This includes working closely with project teams, supply chain partners, local organisations and education providers to identify opportunities that respond to community needs, encourage workforce participation, and align with wider Social Value objectives.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Social Value Coordinator, you'll be working within the Social Value team, supporting them in delivering measurable social impact across multiple projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Collecting and managing social value data from site teams and supply chain partners, uploading to tracking platforms
  • Creating clear reports demonstrating achievement against key performance indicators and developing compelling case studies
  • Building collaborative relationships with site teams, clients, supply chain partners and local community stakeholders
  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of social value initiatives, community volunteering events and promotional ceremonies
  • Promoting the importance of social value and wellbeing across the business whilst championing diversity and inclusion

What are we looking for?

This role of Social Value Coordinator is great for you if:

  • You have strong data analysis and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail
  • You're confident working with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel, with experience managing administrative tasks
  • You communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with the ability to engage people at all levels
  • You're comfortable managing your own workload, meeting tight deadlines and travelling to sites and external events
  • You're eager to learn and develop, with a passion for finding better solutions and making a positive impact in communities

Due to the nature of this role, you will also be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (applicants with convictions will be treated on a case-by-case basis. We do not discriminate based on an applicant's conviction history or the details of any convictions disclosed to us). Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks.
