We're looking for a Social Value Lead to join our regional construction team based across the London & Thames Valley region.

Location: London
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our regional construction business as a Social Value Lead. Sustainability and social value are key strategic priorities at Kier, and this role sits at the heart of delivering meaningful impact across our communities. You'll be working with talented teams, clients, and external partners to create positive change through our construction projects.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Social Value Lead, you'll be working within the sustainability team, supporting them in delivering social value excellence across the region. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading the regional social value team, chairing meetings, allocating resources, and taking accountability for business unit targets and reporting
  • Creating and delivering social value plans, working with site teams, preconstruction teams, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Supporting strategic regional work winning and contributing to national bids, writing compelling tender responses
  • Managing all social value risk and ensuring delivery of client and construction targets
  • Recruiting and developing your team, promoting wellbeing and creating an inclusive workplace

What are we looking for?

This role of Social Value Lead is great for you if:

  • You have 5+ years' experience in a social value role within a construction organisation
  • You're passionate about delivering for communities and creating positive change
  • You have excellent knowledge of social value measurement and frameworks (particularly PPN002 and PPN06/20)
  • You have experience leading high-performing teams and can adapt your communication style to inspire everyone from senior leaders to technical experts
  • You're confident with data analysis, reporting tools (such as Thrive, Social Value Portal, or Loop), and have strong presenting skills

We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome! So, even if you don't tick every box, please apply and we can have a chat.
