Sub-Agent
We're looking for a Sub-Agent to join our KierBAM team based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset.
Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
KierBAM is a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and BAM Nuttall and has been a key contractor at Hinkley Point C since 2012, delivering major site preparation, earthworks, and infrastructure projects. We're seeking a Sub-Agent to lead a large civil engineering team to deliver a safe and quality project, exceeding our customers' expectations in line with the business strategy.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Sub-Agent, you'll be working within the KierBAM team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes across all assigned areas. Your day to day will include:
- Managing and overseeing all areas of the project assigned to you, ensuring safe and quality delivery
- Communicating effectively at all levels including site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, and client representatives
- Leading, supervising and mentoring your team members whilst maintaining high personal standards in health and safety
- Monitoring delivery against agreed programmes and construction methods, identifying issues and devising mitigation plans
- Managing commercial forecasting and reporting, whilst maintaining good working relationships with clients, designers and the supply chain
What are we looking for?
This role of Sub-Agent is great for you if:
- You hold a Degree or HND in Engineering or equivalent qualification
- You have CSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager certification
- You hold a valid SSSTS qualification
- You have demonstrable experience and performance at Section Engineer level
- You're passionate about maintaining high standards in safety, quality and environmental awareness
