Sustainability Advisor
We're looking for a Sustainability Advisor to join our United Utilities contract based Salford.
Location: Salford - remote working available
Hours: 40 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Sustainability Advisor you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in managing client sustainability requirements, support carbon reporting and compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver measurable environmental and social value improvements. Your day to day will include:

Leading sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives in line with Kier's and United Utilities' strategies, driving innovation and positive change across projects.

Managing carbon reporting and compliance, including assessing and implementing carbon calculators and tools to meet contractual KPIs and standards such as PAS 2080.

Collaborating with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners to identify and implement sustainable solutions and resolve technical challenges.

Educating and engage internal teams and subcontractors on sustainability best practices and social value to embed new ways of working across projects.
What are we looking for?
This role of Sustainability Advisor is great for you if:

You hold a degree in environmental related qualification.

You have proven experience managing sustainability and carbon reduction on large-scale projects within a Tier 1 main contractor environment.

You have strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- You Hold a driving licence, it does not need to be a UK Driving Licence, just a Full Driving Licence.
