We're looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to join our Northern Hub team based in Leeds or Newcastle

Location: Leeds or Newcastle

Hours: 37.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We're looking for a Sustainability Coordinator who can support with collation of sustainability data and help ensure legal compliance with waste on some of Kier's most innovative and technically challenging projects within the North & Scotland Region. This role is pivotal to ensuring we meet our resource efficiency targets and drive towards a circular economy. You'll be based out of our Leeds or Hebburn office, predominantly covering projects in Yorkshire and the Northeast with an element of flexible working.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Sustainability Coordinator, you'll be working within the Sustainability Team, supporting them in data collection and ensuring resource efficiency across our projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Leading on data entry for key sustainability aspects including waste management and conducting routine site visits to audit sustainability metrics
  • Collating sustainability data in a timely manner to provide reports for internal and client requests
  • Managing databases, checking for discrepancies, and accurately updating various performance trackers monthly
  • Supporting site teams with resource efficiency practices and creation of Resource Efficiency Management Plans
  • Providing project-specific waste training, producing best practice case studies, and engaging with the supply chain to identify innovations

What are we looking for?

This role of Sustainability Coordinator is great for you if:

  • You have prior experience in an administrative and data entry role with excellent attention to detail
  • You're confident using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel, and have experience with databases or environmental reporting software
  • You have an understanding of waste compliance legislation and a genuine interest in environment and sustainability
  • You hold a Full driving licence and are able to travel to and between sites
  • You can work to tight deadlines and enjoy collaborating with teams to reach innovative solutions
