We're looking for a Works Manager to join our Sizewell C team based in Suffolk.

Location: Sizewell C - Suffolk
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Works Manager to join our Sizewell C team in Suffolk. The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering background, with experience on large civil infrastructure projects, ideally gained with main contractors. You'll be responsible for managing, leading and controlling a multi-disciplinary site team, serving as the key link between site delivery teams, subcontractors and senior management, ensuring that works are delivered to specification, quality standards, and programme requirements.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Works Manager, you'll be working within the Sizewell C team, supporting them in delivering large-scale civil engineering projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Managing and leading a multi-disciplinary site team, including Foremen, General Foremen and labour resources,
  • Ensuring safe systems of work are always in place and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and welfare,
  • Delivering work packages to agreed programmes and liaising with operational delivery teams,
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and stakeholders,
  • Supporting quality teams to ensure a right-first-time approach and works are carried out to the correct specification.

What are we looking for?
This role of Works Manager is great for you if:

  • You hold an HNC (Construction related) or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management, or equivalent,
  • You have demonstrable knowledge and practical application of site construction activities and management of staff, operatives, and subcontractors within regulated sectors,
  • You possess a Gold level Supervisors or Black level Managers Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card,
  • You have completed Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS),
  • You're collaborative, trusted and focused with a commitment to developing high-performing teams.

Would you like to work with a dedicated and friendly team? Then we would like to hear from you.
