Hours: Permanent Fulltime 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?
As a Works Manager, you'll be responsible for managing all site operations, ensuring works are delivered in line with Kier's Integrated Management System, programme requirements, and budget constraints, while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence across work fronts and land parcels.
Your day to day will include:
- Leading and promoting Kier's safety culture across all activities, ensuring all works are carried out under safe systems of work and conducting regular safety inspections, tours, and audits
- Managing labour, plant, materials, and logistics across all work fronts, ensuring adequate resourcing to meet programme requirements
- Supervising and coordinating foremen and supervisors, providing clear direction on daily and weekly work priorities whilst fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and safety-focused culture
- Supporting the Project Manager in delivering works within budget and programme, monitoring performance, productivity, and output
- Ensuring compliance with Construction Phase Plans, Environmental Management Plans, permit systems, and CDM regulations
What are we looking for?
This Works Manager role could be a great fit if you:
- Hold an NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management, along with a Gold (Supervisory) or Black (Managerial) CSCS card and SMSTS certification
- Bring hands-on experience across civil engineering projects, including areas such as earthworks, drainage, concrete or structures
- Are confident leading teams on site, with the ability to effectively supervise operatives and manage subcontractors
- Have a strong understanding of drawings and RAMS, using them to deliver work safely and keep projects on track
- Take pride in maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance, supported by First Aid training
