Architectural Assistant
We're looking for an Architectural Assistant to join our Kier Design team based in various locations across the UK.
Location: Various locations across the UK - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: Full-time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Kier Design has recently entered the top 25 of Building Consultancy companies in the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team engaged across a wide range of sectors. You'll work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary design team, producing high-quality design work, comprehensive and coordinated detailed drawings and specifications. You'll help deliver projects within agreed cost and budget parameters, and support senior team members with project work at all stages of design and construction. Please note, a BIM/REVIT test forms part of the interview process.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Architectural Assistant, you'll be working within the Kier Design team, supporting them in delivering exceptional architectural projects. Your day to day will include:
- Preparing and presenting concept and detailed drawings using CAD and BIM methods
- Contributing to the detailed design process and coordinating design information
- Evaluating environmental, legal and regulatory requirements for projects
- Supporting planning applications and liaising with appropriate authorities
- Administering contracts and visiting sites as required
What are we looking for?
This role of Architectural Assistant is great for you if:
- You hold an Architecture Degree with exemption from RIBA Part 1 (minimum) or RIBA Part 2
- You have strong experience working with REVIT and BIM software
- You enjoy collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
- You have sound design capabilities with a good technical background
- You're proficient in relevant CAD software including AutoCAD, and familiar with 3D software packages
