Assistant Planner
We're looking for an Assistant Planner to join our Scottish regional construction business team based in Glasgow.
Location: Glasgow
Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role
With the support of our Senior Planner, you'll retain overall monitoring capacity for specific projects within our Scottish regional construction business. You'll actively offer subject matter expertise on planning elements to project delivery and wider operational teams, whilst ensuring that high quality construction programmes are created and updated across construction phases.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Assistant Planner, you'll be working within the Scottish regional construction business team, supporting them in delivering successful construction projects. Your day to day will include:
- Creating look ahead programmes and individual trade package programmes
- Monitoring and updating progress and undertaking regular progress monitoring drop lines
- Supporting project teams to ensure they have the technical software skills
- Advising on the effect of any project slippage on existing programmes and updating accordingly
- Working closely with project teams to assist in the production of accurate progress reports
What are we looking for?
This role of Assistant Planner is great for you if:
- You're comfortable using planning software such as Asta, Primavera or Microsoft Project
- You have some experience in planning, site management or engineering within a construction contractor environment
- You have a relevant construction or engineering qualification (HND Level minimum)
- You hold a Full driving licence
- You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively across teams
