Project Manager
We're looking for a Project Manager to join our team based in Coatbridge.
Location: Coatbridge, South Lanarkshire
Hours: 42.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As Project Manager, you'll oversee two extensions to existing primary schools in South Lanarkshire, with a total construction value of circa £18M. You'll provide project leadership, ensuring safe and timely delivery through effective management of people, resources, and relationships. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a significant project while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
What will you be responsible for?
Your day to day will include:
- Leading and overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects, achieving operational and commercial goals on time and on budget
- Managing and monitoring subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with programme demands and tracking adherence against programme and commercial targets
- Taking overall responsibility for implementing Kier's health, safety and environmental policies, ensuring all team members and subcontractors comply
- Acting as the client point of contact, developing excellent working relationships with representatives from various external bodies
- Mentoring and line managing site teams, sharing knowledge and experience to support their development
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Manager is great for you if:
- You have demonstrable experience leading delivery on high-value projects within the main contracting environment
- You can manage projects throughout all phases, from tender input and pre-construction to practical completion
- You possess strong communication skills and the ability to produce high-level reports for leadership
- You have a relevant construction qualification (HND/Degree level or equivalent), SMSTS, CSCS Card, and Full driving licence
- You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and quality
