We're looking for a Logistics Manager to join our SZC Civils Framework team based in Suffolk.

Location: Suffolk
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Logistics Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant movement of people, plant, materials and deliveries across our Civils Framework. You'll be responsible for planning and coordinating all project logistics, including compound operations, haul routes, delivery systems and site traffic management. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by leading logistics planning and creating effective controls that support our construction teams, clients and local communities.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Logistics Manager, you'll be working within the SZC Civils Framework team, supporting them in delivering safe and efficient logistics across all project areas. Your day to day will include:

  • Developing and implementing logistics strategies, plans and procedures for site access, haul roads, compound arrangements and material storage
  • Managing delivery booking systems, coordinating vehicle movements and ensuring safe, timely deliveries with minimal disruption
  • Overseeing compound operations, traffic management, and people-plant segregation to maintain safety and efficiency
  • Managing project stores, including receipt, storage, issue and reconciliation of materials, tools and equipment
  • Leading logistics teams and coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations

What are we looking for?

This role of Logistics Manager is great for you if:

  • You have proven experience in logistics management within construction, infrastructure or major project environments
  • You bring strong knowledge of site logistics, traffic management, delivery planning and materials movement
  • You have experience managing stores, stock control and inventory records to support operational needs
  • You're focused on health, safety, environmental compliance and community impact in everything you do
  • You have effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities
