Social Sustainability Manager
We're looking for a Social Sustainability Manager to join our Natural Resources team based in London.
Location: Flexible on Location - travel all over the UK as and when required
Hours: 37.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
We're currently recruiting for a Social Sustainability Manager to support our business, with a particular focus on our water and nuclear contracts. You'll work alongside operational teams, contract leads and key support functions to help drive social value and wider social impact commitments across our projects and office locations. This role requires regular visibility across contracts and teams, building strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure social value is embedded into how we work, aligned to client priorities and evidenced through delivery. The role will involve travel across the UK as required.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Social Sustainability Manager, you'll be working within the Natural Resources team, supporting them in delivering social value commitments across water, environmental and nuclear contracts. Your day to day will include:
- Providing consistent coordination and support to contracts, helping teams embed social value into project planning, delivery and client reporting
- Tracking, reporting and evidencing social value outcomes for internal governance and client requirements, ensuring clear audit trails and contract compliance
- Building strong relationships with operational, commercial, bid, client, supply chain and community stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver meaningful outcomes
- Supporting initiatives linked to employment, skills, education, community investment, volunteering and local supply chain engagement across the communities where we work
- Championing social value awareness and best practice across Natural Resources, sharing learning and helping replicate successful initiatives across contracts
What are we looking for?
This role of Social Sustainability Manager is great for you if:
- You have demonstrable experience of supporting or delivering social impact projects and driving social value outcomes, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, water, environmental or community-focused programmes
- You have strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, coordinate and manage multiple activities
- You have the ability to collaborate with and build relationships with a range of stakeholders, including operational teams, clients, supply chain partners and local community organisations
- You can work independently and as part of a team
- You have a passion for delivering social value in the communities where we work
