We're looking for an Environmental Advisor to join our Sizewell C New Nuclear Build team based in Suffolk.

Location: Suffolk
Hours: Flexible - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is a unique opportunity to join our Sizewell C New Nuclear Build contract, supporting this nationally important energy project in Suffolk. You'll oversee environmental matters, drive sustainability, and ensure we meet our client's expectations on this complex project. Working alongside the project Environment Manager, you'll help embed compliance and sustainability in collaboration with our client, whilst providing technical advice on all aspects of environmental management.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Environmental Advisor, you'll be working within the Sizewell C team, supporting them in delivering environmental excellence on this nationally significant infrastructure project. Your day to day will include:

  • Acting as a point of contact for project and design teams on environmental management matters
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the project Environmental Management System
  • Conducting environmental audits and site inspections, ensuring regulatory and client requirements are met
  • Facilitating environmental training and attending client meetings and industry forums
  • Supporting incident investigations, completing reports on activity and KPIs, and identifying sustainability innovations

What are we looking for?

This role of Environmental Advisor is great for you if:

  • You have demonstrable experience in environmental management and sustainability on construction projects
  • You are a member of or working towards membership of a professional body (e.g. IEMA, CIWEM, CIWM)
  • You have proven experience in assessing environmental aspects and impacts, and implementing environmental management procedures
  • You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to effectively communicate environmental risks and controls to different job roles and levels of awareness
  • You hold a full driving licence
