This is an exciting opportunity to drive work-winning excellence across our Strategic Projects business, securing major projects and frameworks in key sectors including Education, Healthcare, Defence, and Custodial. You'll lead our bidding strategy on a key opportunity, working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to deliver compelling, industry-leading submissions that truly showcase our value and expertise.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Bid Director, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in securing high-value projects and frameworks across our priority sectors. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading and inspiring multidisciplinary bid teams from inception through to contract award and mobilisation
  • Developing winning bid strategies aligned with our business priorities and client needs
  • Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and position our offer effectively
  • Overseeing bid quality, ensuring compliance, innovation, and commercial strength in all submissions
  • Nurturing talent within your team through coaching, mentoring, and creating opportunities for professional growth

What are we looking for?

This role of Bid Director is great for you if:

  • You have proven Pre-Construction leadership experience with the ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships across teams
  • You bring extensive pre-construction and PCSA experience with a strong track record in crafting high-quality, persuasive bid submissions
  • You possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • You have a solid understanding of commercial strategy and can translate this into winning proposals
  • You're passionate about developing people and creating inclusive, supportive team environments
  • Desirable experience would include Public Sector project exposure, NEC Contract and Major Programme experience.
