We're looking for a Preconstruction Manager to join our Kier Design team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing multi-disciplinary design consultancy. As a Preconstruction Manager, you'll play a vital role in helping us identify, secure and deliver new work across key sectors including Education, Defence, Justice and Health. It is likely you currently specialise in one of these sectors.

Location: Nationwide - remote working available, with regular travel to the office required
Hours: 5 days per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Salary: up to £90,000 per year + bonus + private healthcare + £7,350 annual car allowance + excellent benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Preconstruction Manager, you'll build and maintain essential client relationships whilst managing a portfolio of projects with pre-construction fees up to £10m.

Your day to day will include:

  • Leading the delivery of pre-construction phases for projects, managing design programmes, fees, budgets and change administration
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as their key point of contact for all Kier Design queries and future opportunities
  • Producing dashboards and reports covering design maturity, financial performance, change management and project programmes
  • Taking accountability for the P&L of your assigned portfolio and ensuring commercial governance across all projects
  • Line managing Senior Design Managers and promoting an inclusive, supportive team environment

  • Bring extensive experience from a construction design environment and enjoy shaping projects from an early stage
  • Hold a relevant professional qualification, with additional project management or commercial management credentials
  • Have built strong, trusted relationships with senior clients and stakeholders over your career
  • Are a confident, engaging communicator who's comfortable leading conversations and meetings with senior teams
